When a child takes a step, for most people it is a common occurrence. However, for Zakhar, every step is the result of tremendous effort, pain, perseverance, and faith.
Zakhar has a complex diagnosis: cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia (Little's disease), equino-pes planus foot deformity, and speech development delay. From an early age, his life has been filled with endless classes, rehabilitation, and daily work to be able to move confidently and freely.
His family is doing everything possible to help their son develop, but the cost of regular rehabilitation courses is extremely high, and his parents were unable to pay for them on their own.
That is why the support of the Foundation was crucial.
Thanks to the Bonum Ukraine Charitable Foundation, Zakhar's rehabilitation course was paid for.
We are proud of his significant results: his coordination has improved, his spasticity has decreased, he has better balance, he tries to walk correctly, and he wants to climb stairs on his own. Each new movement is a great victory for the whole family.
There has also been noticeable progress in his speech: he has learned new words, his pronunciation has improved, and his interest in communication has grown.
‘We sincerely thank the Bonum Foundation and everyone who supports children on this difficult path. Your help has brought real change to Zakhar's life and is another confident step towards a full future,’ says the boy's mother.
✨Financial support for families with sick children gives parents faith that they are not alone in their fight against illness; it gives them faith in people!
