The ‘Bonum Ukraine’ Charitable Foundation has once again helped our ward, Oleksandr, by covering the cost of a genetic test, the results of which could prove crucial in determining the next steps in his treatment.
Oleksandr has severe autism and scaphocephaly, which significantly affect his development and daily life. The child has been assessed as having a disability, subgroup A — as he truly needs constant assistance and specialised care.
His mum explains that standard therapy sessions are not enough. Her son finds it very difficult to concentrate and is restless, so the family is looking into the possibility of starting medication. But before this can happen, doctors need to gather as much information as possible about the child’s specific physiological characteristics.
That is precisely why the results of genetic testing can help doctors better understand the causes of the child’s condition and determine the next steps in his medical care.
Thank you to everyone who supports the work of #Bonum and makes a donation.
We are grateful to shoppers at the “Velmart”, “Express” and “Velyka Kyshenya” supermarket chains for adding 10 UAH to their receipts to support the foundation’s beneficiaries!
Together, we can achieve what seems impossible for a single family
The donation amount is non-refundable, and the funds are distributed among the foundation's projects
