Little beauty Ulyana is fighting for her life and health despite everything. She spent the first weeks after her birth in hospital wards, and after being discharged, she was forced to flee the war to Khmelnytskyi. Her mother saw that something was wrong with the child, but the local pediatrician did not notice anything unusual. At 6 months, Ulyana was not sitting up, so the doctor recommended a course of electrophoresis. It was because of this that the child had her first epileptic seizures. The local neurologist did not have a clear answer as to why this was happening or what to do, and assured them that it would probably go away with time. But her parents did not want to wait and started looking for help for their child. They underwent various tests and numerous consultations.
At one year and two months, Ulyana was diagnosed with spastic tetraparesis cerebral palsy and epilepsy - Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.
At two years old, Ulyana underwent her first surgery - total calcotomy. After that, there was significant progress until the child fell ill with pneumonia and the number of seizures gradually increased to previous levels (several dozen per day). Epileptic seizures decreased slightly after the use of a keto diet, which had a positive effect—the child began to develop.

Although the disease takes a lot of strength and energy from the girl, she tries very hard, and regular sessions with specialists help her especially. Thanks to caring people and their donations, the Foundation was able to pay for the necessary rehabilitation for Ulyanka.

Her mother shares her daughter's progress: "During rehabilitation, Ulyanka has become better at holding herself up on her outstretched arms while lying on her stomach.
She can now stand on her lower limbs for longer periods of time while supporting herself on her outstretched arms. She has finally become interested in toys. She has started reaching for objects with both hands again. She has developed a musical ear, as she has become very sensitive to the rhythms of music and tries to clap her hands in time. She has become more sociable, and her gaze has become more conscious. She has started to make the “t” sound. With support, she has started to lunge and pull herself up on her legs independently. Her muscle tone decreased. She began to show new emotions, and we are happy that Ulyana is expressing them.
