Our Romchik successfully underwent a long-awaited operation to correct spinal deformity and fix it with a polysegmental structure purchased by the Bonum Ukraine Charitable Foundation.
The operation was very complicated and lasted almost 7 hours, but according to the doctors, everything went well.
Roman is 15 years old and was born in the city of Sloviansk, Donetsk region, as a special child. In the first weeks of his life, doctors predicted that he would not live longer than a month. But he is very strong and clung to life, undergoing his first operation at 9 months, then at 3 years and 10 years. All three operations were on his head. He was able to endure them and is eagerly awaiting his next operation on his spine. Roman really wants to live, run and walk with his brothers and friends. He has been an excellent student for five years, collects war stamps, participates in school life and this year agreed to run for president of the school council. He believes that he will be elected after he returns home from surgery.
Thanks to caring people and the sincere help of the Foundation, we were able to help this child.
A huge ‘thank you’ from Roman and his family to everyone who was there for him!
Special thanks from the Bonum Ukraine Charitable Foundation — to the visitors of the Velmart, Velyka Kyshenya and VK Express supermarkets, we bow low to you for your kindness and support of our children.
