Thank you for the implants for Margarita!

For fourteen-year-old Margarita, every day is a small victory in the great struggle for a full life.
The child was born prematurely, at 32 weeks. She spent two and a half months in hospital, 21 days of which were on a ventilator. The doctors said she had almost no chance of survival, but she made it! They also predicted that she would never be able to walk, stand or use her hands. But her mum and Margarita decided to prove them wrong.
The girl's diagnosis: cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis, symptomatic epilepsy, partial atrophy of the optic nerve in both eyes, and developmental delay. Despite this, she has already achieved many victories in 14 years: three operations using the Ulzibat method; two three-month courses of treatment in China, which were a real breakthrough — she learned to chew, sit and stand with support; many rehabilitation courses at the Kozivkin Clinic (Truskavets); classes using the TOMATIS method (Kharkiv); dolphin therapy and hippotherapy, which particularly helped her development.

With the outbreak of war, unfortunately, Margarita's family can no longer provide for their child as they did before. But they are not giving up—the girl continues to work on her body. She is in 7th grade, sees a physiotherapist three times a week, works with a speech therapist, and is learning to become even stronger.
In her free time, Margarita enjoys swimming in the river, walking in the forest, and playing on her tablet. Most importantly, she never stops dreaming.
And now, one of her dreams has come true thanks to the help of the Bonum Ukraine Charitable Foundation and caring people who helped raise the necessary funds for implants. Margarita successfully underwent surgery on her knee joints and big toes. It was necessary to correct the X-shaped shape of her legs, as well as the deformation of her feet and big toes, and to eliminate painful sensations.

Margarita believes that with the help of caring people, she will be able to overcome all difficulties. She is a fighter, and she has her family and kind hearts by her side, helping her take steps towards her dream of walking without hindrance!
