Rehabilitation that gives new opportunities: help Mark!

Rehabilitation is one of the important areas of assistance to the children under the care of the Foundation. In particular, those who have musculoskeletal disorders and need systematic rehabilitation therapy. For such children, regular courses are not just support, but a chance for development and new skills.

Mark is one of the children supported by the Foundation. He was born prematurely at 35 weeks of pregnancy and underwent a difficult period of resuscitation and long-term recovery. At the age of one and a half, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and spastic tetraparesis (subgroup A). At that time, Mark could only lie down.
His family did not give up and began intensive rehabilitation. To date, Mark has completed more than 25 courses.
Thanks to the support of the Bonum Ukraine Charitable Foundation, another course at the rehabilitation centre was paid for Mark.
After intensive training, the boy became more confident in standing, can get up from his knees to his feet on his own, and can stand without fear. His muscle tone has decreased, he has started making new sounds, and his swallowing has improved after speech therapy massages. Each such result is a step forward towards greater independence for him and joy for his family.
Mark needs regular courses every 1.5–2 months, because it is consistency that brings results. This is a significant financial burden for the family, so the foundation's assistance is extremely valuable.
Thanks to you, Mark has a chance to take confident steps and one day say his long-awaited first words.
