13-year-old Mariya has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis, persistent motor impairment (level IV), cognitive impairment and general speech underdevelopment.
Ever since she was nine months old, Mariyka has been undergoing rehabilitation and working hard to develop her abilities and learn new skills. She cannot sit up or speak unaided, but she is very hard-working: she knows her letters and numbers, can say a few words, counts a little, and crawls on all fours. She particularly loves animals, especially horses and hippotherapy.
For Mariyka, rehabilitation is not just a necessary part of maintaining her physical condition and developing her skills, but also an opportunity to socialise, meet new people and discover the world.
The ‘Bonum Ukraine’ Charitable Foundation has funded another course of rehabilitation for Mariyka.
Mariyka’s mum says: “I am infinitely grateful to the ‘Bonum Ukraine’ Foundation for helping to pay for Mariyka’s latest rehabilitation course! I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved – may your kindness be repaid a hundredfold!”
It is thanks to donations from caring people that the foundation is able to fund this vital support for children.
May your kindness be repaid a hundredfold!
The donation amount is non-refundable, and the funds are distributed among the foundation's projects
