Emma's small victories thanks to the Foundation's support!

Meet the beautiful Emma, who is almost 5 years old. She is still so small, but very strong and agile. In 2022, Emma had to leave the war zone with difficulty, which most likely also affected her condition. At first, the family stayed in a small town in the Dnipro region, but was forced to move again due to the frontline's intrigues. They chose Kyiv to have the child examined and to be able to visit the right specialists.
At the age of two, the parents began to notice that the child was developing more slowly than his peers. After more than one examination and a bunch of tests, she was diagnosed with ASD, and after a more detailed examination, organic brain damage was also diagnosed.
After the diagnosis, Emma began treatment and regular classes.
Only through regular rehabilitation did the child begin to speak, although it is still very poor with dialogue, asking questions and spontaneous speech, but Emma is trying very hard. Also, the child has many disorders on the "motor side", so Emma needs intensive continuous sensory and physical training.
While dad is defending our Ukraine and protecting us, mom is trying to do everything possible so that her daughter can develop. So, a few months ago, she filled out a questionnaire on the Bonum Ukraine website with a request to help the child undergo the necessary rehabilitation course. The Foundation supported this request and paid for the necessary classes for Emma. We are pleased with the positive changes in the child's development. Emma's coordination of movements and general motor skills have improved, she has become more active, attentive, and better able to communicate with others. She acquired new skills and increased her motivation to exercise and interact. Emma's mother received important advice from the rehabilitation therapists on how to practice at home. In general, this rehabilitation has become a valuable impetus for the child's further development.
