Dental treatment for Roman!

When a child has toothache, it always means pain, fear and sleepless nights. And when it comes to a child with special needs, this pain is multiplied many times over.

This is exactly the problem that 15-year-old Roman faced.

Roma was born a long-awaited healthy child in a large family, but at 3 months old, his parents noticed developmental delays and learned of his diagnosis — Down syndrome. Later, hypothyroidism was added to this, which significantly affected the condition of his teeth.

Due to problems with his enamel, Roma's teeth are quickly affected by caries, causing severe hypersensitivity and constant pain. Dental treatment is very expensive, and the family is unable to cover all the costs on their own.

The Bonum Ukraine Charitable Foundation paid for the treatment of all of Roman's painful teeth, carrying out a planned oral cavity rehabilitation.

*Dental sanitation is a set of therapeutic and preventive measures for oral health improvement, including treatment of caries and its complications, professional hygiene, removal of teeth that cannot be treated, gum treatment, and elimination of other sources of infection.

❗️Important❗️The Fund covers the cost of dental rehabilitation — necessary dental treatment.
Sedation (medicated sleep) is not included in the list of paid services and is not financed by the Bonum Fund!

Despite his diagnosis, Roma is a very kind and active boy. He is in 8th grade, attends sports clubs, plays in an inclusive theatre, happily helps those who are weaker than him, and takes small but important steps forward every day.
