Our ward Artem is 10 years old. From the first minutes of his life, he had to fight for every step, for every breath. Artem was born very small — only 1200 g — and with a serious diagnosis: cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia) and sensorineural deafness.
He underwent his first rehabilitation at the age of one, and at the age of three, he was declared disabled. Since then, the family's life has been filled with endless rehabilitation courses, sessions with doctors and teachers, and constant trips to Kyiv and his native Kharkiv. In 2019, the boy received a cochlear implant so that he could hear the world around him, and sessions with deaf educators and speech therapists were added.
This summer, Artem underwent a complex but extremely important spinal surgery (SDR), which relieved the spasticity in his legs and arms. This was only the first step on the way to his big dream – to walk on his own legs and run on the football field with his friends
The Foundation helped Artem and paid for his first full rehabilitation after the operation.
The results after the sessions are impressive:
✅ Artem has learned to put his feet completely on his heels and almost straighten his knees.
✅ He can stand with support and feel his legs.
✅ His arm muscles have relaxed, and he uses his left arm more actively.
✅ His back has become stronger – now the boy can sit a little longer without support.
We are proud of Artem and his family for their incredible strength and perseverance.
We are grateful to everyone who helps children on their path to recovery. Each of your donations is another step towards ensuring that Artem and others like him have a happy childhood and a future without
The donation amount is non-refundable, and the funds are distributed among the foundation's projects
