Another operation for Artemchik!

For Artem from the Kyiv region, this is already the second time he has received help from the ‘Bonum Ukraine’ Charitable Foundation; this time, the foundation covered the cost of the operation and the necessary implants for the child’s right leg. The operation was a success.

When Artem was 3½ years old, a tumour was unsuccessfully removed, and his life changed forever as a result. Today, the boy is 15 years old; he cannot walk or speak, and has grade 3 scoliosis and other complex health conditions.

But Artem is a very bright and kind boy. He can give a big hug and smile in a way that tugs at your heartstrings.

And most importantly, he now has the prospect of walking again after we worked together to help him undergo an osteotomy of the proximal femur.

We are truly delighted to have been there for Artem and his family on this journey.
