Karolinka is the third child of quadruplets. She has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy since birth.
When she was just three months old, doctors discovered that Karolinka had subluxations in both hip joints. Despite ongoing rehabilitation, sessions with specialists and the family’s efforts, her left hip eventually dislocated. The little girl needed an operation.
The ‘BONUM Ukraine’ Charitable Foundation covered the cost of the necessary surgery for Karolinka. This is an important step that will help the girl live without pain and give her more opportunities for further development.
Karolinka cannot yet speak for herself, but she understands when people speak to her, responds to her family and rewards them with her sincere smiles. Her childhood is a daily struggle, filled with rehabilitation and small victories that mean the world to her family.
Karolinka still has further treatment ahead of her: her right hip joint, where a subluxation persists, requires constant monitoring, and in about six months’ time, she may also need surgery.
We are truly delighted that Karolinka now has another important chance for a better future.
Thank you to everyone who supports Bonum. It is thanks to caring people that the charity can pay for the necessary treatment and help children move forward, step by step.
The donation amount is non-refundable, and the funds are distributed among the foundation's projects
