Maxim has been fighting a difficult battle since the first minutes of his life. At 1.5 years old, after numerous examinations and an MRI of the brain, doctors diagnosed him with cerebral palsy.
Today, Maksym has complex comorbidities: cerebral palsy, spastic-dyskinesic tetraparesis, grade III thoracolumbar scoliosis, knee joint contractures, equinovarus foot deformity, and visual impairment. He cannot walk, talk, or eat on his own and is completely dependent on constant outside care.
But despite all his trials, Maksym is a very bright and positive boy. He knows how to smile, responds to his loved ones, and loves his mother's attention and warmth. His eyes light up when he goes for a walk in the park, when he goes to the store with his mother, or when he watches his favourite cartoons with his younger brother. It is these little joys that make his life fulfilling.
Due to the nature of his condition, Maksym desperately needed a wheelchair, so his mother turned to Bonum Ukraine with a request to help pay for one.
Thanks to the support of donors, a wheelchair was manufactured and purchased for Maksym, and sweets and tea were also donated by the Foundation to make the winter a little cosier.
We sincerely thank everyone who supports our Foundation. It is thanks to you that children like Maksym have more opportunities, comfort and joy in their lives.
The donation amount is non-refundable, and the funds are distributed among the foundation's projects
