A step towards walking steadily: help for Fedir!

The Bonum Ukraine Charitable Foundation provided assistance in paying for the necessary implants for Fedir, a boy with severe orthopaedic complications resulting from osteomyelitis suffered in early childhood.

Due to his illness, Fedir underwent several complex operations, had a significant shortening of his left leg and impaired support and walking. Despite prolonged treatment, rehabilitation and numerous attempts to solve the problem, the child's condition worsened, and the previous surgical intervention did not produce the expected result.
To even out the length of his legs and improve his quality of life, Fedir needed another operation — knee epiphysiodesis using special implants. The family did not have the financial means to pay for them on their own, so they turned to our Foundation for help.

Thanks to the support of donors, the Bonum Ukraine Foundation paid for the necessary implants for Fedir. The operation was successful.

The child is currently undergoing post-operative recovery, and this step gives him a chance to reduce pain, improve mobility and further development.
